I was very lucky to have been seen by Dr Chandu, I was referred to A&E by another hospital’s radiology team who detected pneumonia. Obviously being very worried Dr Chandu put me at ease and was very thorough. Even before coming out to the waiting room to meet me he had read up on my medical history and had a clear knowledge and understanding of my current state of health. After being poorly for 2 weeks, it was finally nice and reassuring to be getting some clear answers whilst also being treated in a kind, friendly and professional manner. He took the time to listen and explain everything in detail which is understandable to the patient. His friendly manner and light humour was very refreshing especially when not well and feeling so low, I didn’t feel like I was being rushed in and rushed out. He took the time to consult another doctor where needed which made me feel I was receiving the best medical care. I cannot thank him enough.

I was lucky enough to be seen by Dr Chandu Wickramarachchi in A&E at King George's Hospital last Sunday evening. Well, I must say - he was the most pleasant, kind, understanding & knowledgeable doctor I've ever been seen by! He listened to me, he explained everything to me, and totally allayed any fears or worries I had. The NHS are extremely fortunate to have the likes of this doctor working for them, and I hope they can keep hold of him.

Dr Chandu treated my 83 yr old mother suffering from breathing difficulties after being admitted to A&E by emergency ambulance. Having completed a comprehensive battery of tests and a thorough examination and review, Dr Chandu delivered the highest level of professional care that I have experienced in the NHS. Initially treating my mother with courtesy, respect, and good humour to help reduce her anxiety, he then went on to explain fully his review and diagnosis of my mothers condition and then treatment. Be assured if you are lucky enough to be treated by Dr Chandu in A&E you will be receiving the best care and attention available delivered in an authentically personable, and reassuring manner, while at the same time being confident in this doctors professional skills, knowledge and intellect. A credit to his profession I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Chandu, and wish him well in what I suspect will be an exemplary career in medicine.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Chandu in A&E Queens Hospital following a road traffic accident. His approach was professional yet personable. I was extremely stressed at the time and he showed genuine compassion and empathy, which I believe is a rare quality for an A&E doctor. He gave sound advice and gave clear explanations and provided reassurance when I felt unsure. I would highly recommend Dr Chandu as he is a highly competent doctor with a good bedside manner.
